VHS Bhaktapur: A Hub of Innovative Education and Language Learning
VHSBhaktapur is a community learning center based in Nepal’s capital city Kathmandu. As a Social Business, VHS engages itself to fill in the educational gaps existing in the nation. Social Entrepreneurship training, Global Citizenship Education, Cultural Introduction Seminar, Nepali and German Language courses, Regenerative-Sustainability and Alternative Economy initiatives and International Volunteering are its main activities. Along with formal learning, VHS Bhaktapur focuses heavily on promoting non-formal activities to expand the learning outcomes of Nepali youths. Since its establishment (2011), VHS has provided its services to thousands of students and youths in Nepal. As a youth hub, VHS Bhaktapur regularly organises community events, workshops, talk programs, formal training and language courses. Due to its focus in non-formal learning and its young team, it is one of the most innovative youth-led youth organisations in Nepal.
Our Main Aim VHS Bhaktapur aims to provide practical oriented education, which can directly contribute to the betterment of the nation. Youth unemployment/ underemployment is high and the self-consciousness of young people to start something on their own enterprise is unsatisfactorily low. VHS tries to bridge that gap through its various skill development training, workshops, initiatives and language programs.
